This Privacy Policy explains what happens to information when you use Atelier CV (https://cvats.shop). We have written it to reflect exactly how this website currently works, not a generic template — if a practice is not described below, we do not currently do it.
Who we are
Atelier CV is a CV/resume building tool available at https://cvats.shop. This policy covers the Atelier CV website and its CV Builder.
CV information you enter
When you use the CV Builder, the details you type in — your name, work history, education, skills, and any other CV content — are saved only in your own browser’s local storage (a standard browser feature also known as localStorage). This lets your draft persist if you close the tab and come back later on the same browser and device.
This CV data is not sent to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers. We do not have a database of visitor CV content, and we cannot see, access, or recover the CV information you enter. It exists only in your browser until you clear it yourself (for example, by clearing your browser’s site data) or by using the Backup/Restore feature described below.
PDF export
The “Download as PDF” option uses your browser’s own built-in print-to-PDF function. This happens entirely on your device; your CV content is not uploaded anywhere to generate the PDF.
Word (.docx) export
The Word document export is also generated entirely in your browser, using a document-generation library that runs on your device. Your CV content is not sent to our servers or to any third party to produce the .docx file.
JSON backup and restore
The “Backup CV Data” and “Restore CV Data” features let you download your CV draft as a JSON file to your own device, and later load that file back into the builder. This export and import happens entirely in your browser; the file is never uploaded to our servers as part of this process.
Accounts and registration
The CV Builder does not require or offer visitor accounts, sign-up, or login. Public registration on this website is disabled. There is no username, password, or profile associated with your use of the CV Builder.
Cookies
The CV Builder itself does not set any cookies. This site runs on WordPress, which uses a small number of standard technical cookies in specific situations: for example, if you log in to the site’s administration area, WordPress sets cookies to keep you signed in, and if a visitor leaves a comment and opts in, WordPress may set a cookie to remember their name and email for future comments. These are standard WordPress software behaviors, not tracking or advertising cookies, and most visitors browsing or using the CV Builder will never encounter them.
Third-party services
This website loads its typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). Loading these fonts causes your browser to request font files directly from Google’s servers, which may log your IP address as part of that request, in accordance with Google’s own privacy practices. This is the only third-party service currently used by this website.
We do not currently use analytics or visitor-tracking tools, advertising or ad-serving services, payment processors, e-commerce/WooCommerce functionality, or third-party automation/webhook integrations (such as n8n) anywhere on this site.
Data retention
Because CV data you enter stays in your browser’s local storage rather than on our servers, it is retained for as long as it remains in that local storage — entirely under your control. It is removed when you clear it yourself, clear your browser’s site data, or use a different browser or device (where no data would exist in the first place). We hold no copy of it and cannot retain, extend, or delete it on your behalf, because it never reaches us.
Data security
Since CV content is not transmitted to or stored on our servers, there is no server-side database of CV data to secure. The website itself runs on standard, up-to-date WordPress software. As with any website, we recommend keeping your own device and browser secure, since your CV draft is stored locally on it.
Children’s privacy
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights and how to contact us
Because CV content stays on your own device, you are already in full control of it — you can view, change, export, or permanently delete it at any time simply by using the CV Builder or clearing your browser’s site data. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how this website handles information, you can contact us at support@cvats.shop.
Changes to this policy
If this website’s data practices change — for example, if a feature is added that stores information on our servers or introduces a new third-party service — we will update this page and its effective date above to reflect the change.
